A New Stylish Hotel Debuts in New Hampshire: The Hotel Concord

The Boston Globe's travel section features The Hotel Concord in a recent article.

The Granite State’s capital city is debuting stylish new accommodations in its historic, walkable downtown. The Hotel Concord is located on the fourth and sixth floors of Capital Commons, a six-story mixed-use building overlooking the Merrimack River and the gold-domed New Hampshire State House. The boutique hotel has 38 guest rooms.

Rooms offer a full complement of luxury amenities for business and pleasure travelers. Guestrooms include luxury linens, original artwork, refrigerators, oversized marble-tiled bathrooms, 55”- to 65”- flat screen TVs and California style closets. Convenience items include well-lit workspaces with multiple USB charging ports, complimentary WiFi and Amazon Echo Dots. From The Lobby and many rooms, guests can have a rare bird's-eye view of Concord's Main Street and the NH State House. All rooms have large windows and abundant natural light.

Common areas include an executive lounge on each floor and an attached covered garage. For business travelers, there are two conference rooms on site with audiovisual capabilities. The Lobby was designed as the "living room of Concord" and welcomes residents and guests alike to relax and take a break. The Gym is a well-equipped fitness center that has free weights and exercise machines, but for those wishing for a different workout experience, yoga, swimming, and other classes are available at the nearby YMCA.

The hotel's decorations allude to the state's political history. Hallways are decorated with black-and-white framed photographs of iconic moments in American elections. Guestrooms feature locally-sourced materials whenever possible, and natural light is abundant in public spaces and meeting spaces. The first-floor lobby is designed as a community gathering spot and features cozy seating areas and fireplace. O Steaks & Seafood and the Red River Theatre, a nonprofit three-screen cinema and café, are also on site in the mixed-use building. The theatre offers art house and documentary films and sells a variety of locally-made snacks along with wine and beer.
